A little blue doll, just like in the original. But the blue doll is bigger and it has a little mouth. If you are using one of the versions that have a mouth you’ll have to remove the mouth because the doll doesn’t have very big lips.
Did you watch the trailer where the two characters are speaking to each other?
Yes I did and I loved it. I think it was really cool that they tried to do something different and tried to do different dialogue. The last time we saw two characters speak was when they were sitting in bed and they were talking (in the trailer).
Did you know the voice actors when you started the game or is it something they picked up on as they were filming?
It changed all of a sudden. It is like they are talking to each other now but when they are talking to each other they are not doing it with their usual voice. They are just talking but different dialogue.
How do the two of you interact between the two of them? Are they using their usual voice?
Of course they all do it with their usual voice. You can’t use the normal voice with a ventriloquist doll!
What was your favorite thing about that scene?
I liked that we were getting to see a little bit of what the character is like and what they are doing. You kind of get to see what they are thinking. He is like being a human being again! To know that the human beings in the movie are real. You can see something more in some of their personalities.
Was your favorite thing about the other voice actors?
They’re all really good actors. They do great work.
Do you have any advice that you would tell other animators if they want to get into animation?
I would say that you always have to have fun trying to figure out the story. It is a long process to figure out a story. To figure out the style and feel of an animation to try out different ways to break it. A key is to always be trying to see in your mind what is not there…
What are your hopes for the game and the future of the game?
It all depends on how big the budget is and with how many people. There could be huge fans. People that really love this art form and who love this franchise.
