It’s more fun to laugh, but of course not. It’s still a lot of hard work and I wouldn’t be the person I am if I couldn’t keep my chin up or stay positive. So if it doesn’t feel funny, then I know what I’m doing wrong.

BANGKOK: There are still at least two months before election day 2014, but the voters’ choice in the next National Election is now a matter of public knowledge.
The Election Commission of Northern Thailand (ECN) has revealed that 830,000 ballots were exchanged between voters and the parties’ camp in 2013 and will be counted today in the capital and Bangkok.
The total number of voters eligible to cast their vote this year will reach at least 1,000,000 because of the government’s efforts to secure ballot boxes from private voters before the deadline for getting these boxes from the local Election Commission.
The election process will be repeated this year on May 25 to be done in time for the general election to be held early next year.
Voters registered as “unregistered voters” will have to wait until May 27 before they cast their ballot, said the ECN this week, while ballot boxes will be delivered to voters this month from Thursday to Sunday.
As the last day to register to vote is Monday, voters will have until Sunday to gather enough signatures to ensure their ballot boxes pass muster before the next round.
If a signature is not obtained by July 10, voting will be extended by another six weeks. If after a deadline for registering on that second day no signatures are obtained, the deadline is extended to September 22.
This year’s voters will decide how to develop new infrastructure and how to maintain its present infrastructure and services.
For example, the commission said it would hold a public meeting on July 10 to discuss the future of Kandy.
