Those kinds of things are probably true for some organisms, like some bacteria and some yeast species, but not all organisms have music. So there’s a huge range of situations where it’s very unlikely that other organisms will be able to evolve what we have. If you have a system that’s more complicated than others, and it requires a lot more labor, it’s going to be more efficient than other systems.
On the other hand, we can say that there are some organisms that make it work, the ones that get the most benefit from music, and the others that get a small benefit from it, but for certain reasons we haven’t caught on to. That’s actually very interesting. I think what it means is that we can say that there are different kinds of music, that some kinds of music we like. It’s not an inarticulate thing, and it’s not something we pick up on in nature. It’s something that we make ourselves.
