This project is to get the world’s first 100% carbon-free, low-emission car. It uses 100% recycled materials, and the car is completely fuel efficient.
The Car is going for the US$5,000 USD budget, the car itself is going to cost $35,000 USD. It can start right now using recycled materials, it can even run on electricity from the grid for about 20 to 30 minutes, it has a battery that can be used at the road for about 6 hours. The car is not only fuel-efficient, it can save the planet, because it is one of the first cars that has been designed to reduce road emissions. In 2014 a total of about 20,000 tons of carbon are released per vehicle every year due to car manufacturing, and only 20% of the emissions of a 1.2 ton road car are emitted from the combustion engine. In 2015, the Environmental Protection Agency reported that we should be able to achieve emissions reductions of 10 to 15% across most of the nation by 2025 using our current cars and trucks model year.
So, I have designed this project to do exactly what we can never do, to make the world’s most efficient car; one that is completely emissions free.
The Car itself is a complete car build, including interior. It has a battery that can be used on the road for about 6 hours. The car drives entirely on electric for about 80% of the time, when it wants to refuel it uses a hydrogen fuel cell that collects water from the atmosphere. The car itself has many features, including a solar roof, a front trunk, LED interior lighting, a roof rack, USB charging station, and it can also be driven on public roadways.
