It really depends on if you’re like, going to sing in the middle of a bar or not — or if you’re like, like, the only singer here [in the room?] and you’ve got, like, six of the most powerful people in the world. It really depends on how deep and how big a vocal talent you’re gonna have and what your limitations are.
That’s why, yeah, it’s different. I think most of the time I sing with a very light touch. Sometimes I can’t even hear the chord changes. It’s just not my thing.
But I’ve read a few articles that say that, if I can’t do this part, it’ll suck me right into singing something else. That’s just totally false. You can actually sing a little bit with the right instrument. Like, the guitar’s pretty good. I could play on a guitar. But a lot of times when I am trying to just sing in the middle of a piece, I have to just focus on my singing.
Do you play in any other genres?
Yeah, I listen to a lot of rock music and stuff. Like, a lot of bands. The songs are pretty much all rock ‘n’ roll, so that’s what I listen to. But not too much. I’m just listening to it a bit to keep my energy up.
Yeah, that’s the same with country. There’s not a whole bunch of country that I like really. They’re all kind of pretty. Not too many Country guys, though. I’m not that into them.
Do you still have that rocker side?

Is there anything you’re looking forward to when it comes to the Super Bowl?
Well, it’s nice to be around fans that are really into the NFL, and I am, so I’ve only got to go up there twice a year, but when I go there my energy is like, that’s it. There’s just nothing else there.
